Standard and Pro Variants

The standard M4 chip will power the iMac, a budget-friendly 14-inch MacBook Pro, and the entry-level Mac mini. Additionally, the upgraded MacBook Pro is expected to include superior versions of the M4 chip, further boosting its power.

Design Updates

Although the new iMac and MacBook Pro models will maintain a design similar to the current versions, the Mac mini will undergo its first major external redesign in over a decade. It will be significantly more compact, approaching the dimensions of the Apple TV set-top box. Notably, some variants will include five USB-C ports for accessory connectivity.

For the first time in years, Apple will refresh its Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad accessories. Furthermore, the updated versions will switch from the Lightning port to USB-C for charging. This shift reflects a broader industry-wide transition, especially driven by European Union regulations.
